A laminated composite made by impregnating cotton, glass fiber, or other fabric with phenolic resin. The process involves creating "prepreg" sheets, which are then layered and cured under high temperature (~180°C) and high pressure.

Key Properties:

• Mechanical: High strength, rigidity, and impact resistance; lightweight yet strong.

• Electrical: Excellent insulator in dry environments, stable under temperature variations.

• Thermal: Suitable for long-term use at 120°C-140°C; higher short-term tolerance.

• Physical: Smooth, wear-resistant surface; good vibration damping and noise reduction.

Limitations:

Moderate arc resistance, unsuitable for high-voltage/high-arc applications.
